Donald Duncan is the founding partner of D3 Financial Counselors, a fee only, independent financial planning and investment advisory firm.  He started D3 in March of 1997, after working at The Northern Trust Company in Chicago for 17 years.  Don has used his experience at Northern Trust in strategic planning, credit research and institutional investment management to grow D3 to a 6 person, educated and experienced team of professionals working solely to accomplish client goals.  Offices are located in downtown Downers Grove and in the Chicago loop.

Don earned his MBA from DePaul University, the CPA designation in 1985, the Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 1992 and the Certified Financial Planner license in 2001.    Don is the past Chairman of the Illinois Financial Planning Association and the Downers Grove Chamber of Commerce.
