When I tell people that I am a Divorce Coach, it is usually met with a perplexed look. I can almost guess what the person is thinking. Coaching? Like a cheerleader on the sidelines chanting, “ D-I-V-O-R-C-E…..sign those papers and set yourself free!!” No, I am not a coach who encourages divorce or helps an individual “win” the game. On the contrary, as a Divorce Coach I serve as an educator, mentor and guide. Divorce is not a warm, fuzzy or exciting topic. It is a topic people would rather not talk about. But, statistics tell us that half the population of married people need my services!
Often, people will first contact a lawyer. However, divorce is an emotional life experience that requires legal assistance. Let me use this analogy…..if one immediately consults with an attorney and signs a retainer agreement, it is like jumping in the wash machine in the middle of a spin cycle! Most people are very uniformed about the options that are available and the way the court system works. Myths and misinformation abound. Being knowledgeable, realistic, focused and calm will help reduce some of the anxiety associated with the process. My goal is to save my clients (both men and women) time, money and unnecessary emotional upheaval. In addition to educating clients, I also offer referrals. Choosing the “right” attorney is very important.
As a Mediator, I work with parents to create their Joint Parenting Agreement, which focuses on the best interest of the children. It also paves the way for a cooperative and effective co-parenting relationship post-divorce. Additionally, I offer group programs for women; Empowerment Groups and Seminars which focus on specific topics.

The Wenzel Select Properties team helped me, as a first time home buyer, find a place to call home. It ended up being a very long process, only due to the extraordinary long time it took to go through a initial short sale purchase. The Wenzel Select team advised me from the start exactly what to expect, however me being a naive first time home buyer, decided to pursue the short sale. Every step of the way the team assisted me with questions I had about the purchase process. After my patience wore thin on waiting for the banks to do what they needed to do, the Wenzel Select Properties team advised that I continue searching for a new home since I couldn't wait any longer. They were there for me every step of the way, and we walked through plenty of properties until we came across "the one". It was definitely apparent that this team did what was in the best interest of their client, and not for themselves. I would absolutely recommend Wenzel Select Properties to anyone looking to purchase a new home and can say that it was a pleasure working with them.
